The management of Rwanda Energy Group Limited (REG Ltd) informs the Public that it is recruiting competent, qualified and experienced staff to the following positions:




1.Corporate Planning Manager (1)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Technical Delivery


• Corporate strategy Plan and develop long-term strategy in order to materialize company’s vision and objectives.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


• Education and Training require a Bachelor’s degree and preferably a master in Electrical or in Power engineering or in a related discipline.


• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Senior position in the Utility Planning environment


• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases


• Bilingual in English and either French or Kinyarwanda (essential)


• Have a strong knowledge in Planning and Network analysis tools at least 2 Years


• Knowledge of the electricity systems product and have a good understanding of the exogenic impact on power Generation, Transmission and Distribution


• Financial modeling of the planning issues




2.Risk Manager (1)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Technical Delivery


• Ability to have a process to determine risk sources and categories, by examining changing situation over time and identify the circumstances that can impact the ability of the project to meet its objectives


• Constantly asses risk in project planning, execution, finance


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


• Education and Training require a bachelor and preferably a master degree in Electrical or in Power engineering or with 5 years’ experience in a related field


• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases


• Bilingual in English and either French or Kinyarwanda (essential)


• Have specific experience in statistics and risk assessment at least 2 Years


• Knowledge of the electricity systems product and have a good understanding of the Environmental/Climatic impact on power Generation, Transmission and Distribution


• Financing modeling, knowledge in quantifying the risk




3.Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (1)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Management of the M&E team


• Manage a team of M&E specialist(s), delineating their responsibilities by grant/project specific in order to support programmatic activities of REG and ensure these are monitored and evaluated in a timely, efficient and effective matter.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


• Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Finance or other relevant academic background (essential), Master’s Degree (desirable)


• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related M&E field. (essential)


• 2 years Financial or budget management – ability to put together a budget and to follow up on expenses, track grant disbursements (essential)


• A background in a consulting role with Utility experience will be an advantage (desirable)


• Project Management certification (PMP or Prince 2) (desirable).


• Good level of proficiency in Windows Excel and quantitative analysis


• Experience in program design and M&E plan development


• Ability to design M&E tools, surveys, surveillance systems,and evaluations


• Bilingual in English and either French or Kinyarwanda (essential)


• Quality and management certification / process reengineering certification (6Sigma; Lean etc.) (desirable)




4.Quality Assurance and Standards Specialist (1)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Technical Delivery


• To set standards and procedures to ensure quality of products, designs and implementation


• Lead the monitoring and evaluation of design, specifications, materials, procedures and installation of equipment and take corrective measures if quality standards are not met


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


▪ Education and Training require a bachelor and master degree in Electrical or Power engineering or in a related discipline with 2 years’ experience in Quality Assessment.


▪ Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases


▪ Bilingual in English and either French or Kinyarwanda (essential)


▪ Have strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes


▪ Knowledge of the electricity systems product: Having a good understanding of the design of system will enable to perform a better test on it.




5.Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (1)


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Technical Delivery


• Lead and coordinate all M&E functions in EUCL and EDCL.


• Work closely and have regular meetings with Project Managers and M&E Specialists in EUCL and EDCL to asses, evaluate and mitigate any risk.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


• Bachelor’s Degree (A0) in Management, Economics, Social Sciences, Project Management, Public Administration, Planning, M&E and/or any other relevant qualification with at least five (5) years of experience in M&E role preferably in Projects or


• A Master’s Degree in any of the above field or any other relevant qualification with at least three (3) years of experience in M&E role preferably in Projects.


• Bilingual in English and either French or Kinyarwanda (essential)


• Have strong knowledge of software M&E methodologies, tools, and processes
