UNICOOPAGI is a Cooperative Union working in the Southern Province of Rwanda in Nyamagabe, Nyaruguru, and Huye Districts with the Main Office in Nyamagabe. It has been created in 1991 and it has a legal personality with a registration number RCA/426/2012 delivered on 25/06/2012 renewed to RCA/0168/2019 on 21/02/2019 by Rwanda cooperative agency/RCA. UNICOOPAGI has 2558 members (1112 men and 1446 women) grouped into 34 Cooperatives growing wheat, Maize, beans, and Irish potato. UNICOOPAGI was created to foster community development by empowering people to build a better and sustainable development through market-oriented agriculture.

The vision of UNICOOPAGI is a society with food security where the people have income in order to satisfy the primary needs.

The mission is the professionalization of the farmers through the reinforcement of their cooperatives.

In collaboration with other stakeholders, UNICOOPAGI Cooperative members have been supported to adopt different sustainable agriculture land management practices and to access on various extension and financial services to have the capital to invest in agriculture and hence increase crop production for food security and improved livelihood.

Geographical Coverage

UNICOOPAGI is implementing projects in Nyamagabe, Nyaruguru, and Huye Districts with 34 Cooperatives based in districts named above through different services.

Target group

The target group for UNICOOPAGI is smallholder farmers, vulnerable groups including women and men across 3 districts named above toward a better livelihood. However, there are some specific interventions for women households headed toward improving their leadership spirit, innovations, and off-farm activity creation capacities.

Partnership with different partners

To achieve its objectives, UNICOOPAGI implements different projects that deliver different services to the poor and vulnerable farmers in Nyaruguru, Nyamagabe, and Huye District.

This regard, UNICOOPAGI in partnership with Trocaire, through the projects funded by IRISH-Aid. “Resilient food security through climate change adaptation and mitigation practices in Nyaruguru District”. UNICOOPAGI is looking for competent and reputable suppliers to provide the following materials.

Lot3. Construction of Bamboo tanks

UNICOOPAGI would like to invite an experienced company or individual to bid for the tender related to the construction of 10 Bamboo tanks with a capacity of 8M3 in the Nyaruguru district Ruramba sector Giseke cell. Moreover the company or individual must have proven experience (Statement of services rendered) with at least 3 years

For the first three lots UNICOOPAGI by this notice invites established companies or individual with a good track record, which are experienced in the mentioned area, by submitting Expression of Interest (EOI), and submit the following documents:

  • Letter of interest

  • Company name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address

  • Company profile

  • Quotation( showing unity costs in figures and in words);

  • Copy of Certificate of Registration in RDB& VAT certificate

  • Proved experience (Statement of services rendered)

The company must provide EBM invoice in reverse the taxes will withhold (for lot4)

The interested individuals or Companies should submit their applications to not later than 30th July 2020, 10h00AM opening will be done at 10h30AM the same day at UNICOOPAGI office.
