Aflakiosk, a subsidiary of Vanguard Economics, is on the hunt for passionate individuals to join our team as Field Operators! In this crucial role, you’ll be at the forefront of our mission: ensuring safe, high-quality food reaches consumers across East Africa.

What You’ll Do:

  • Become the Face of Aflakiosk: You’ll be our main point of contact for farmers, processors, and other stakeholders, promoting our mobile testing services.
  • Expand Our Reach: Drive user adoption by educating communities on the benefits of Aflakiosk’s quality testing solutions.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate lasting partnerships with local actors, importers, and key players in the agricultural supply chain.
  • Ensure Quality Standards: Conduct on-site testing for aflatoxin levels, moisture content, and other parameters, upholding Rwanda’s Grade 1 standards.
  • Data & Insights: Collect and analyze data from field tests, contributing valuable insights for operational improvements.
  • Communication is Key: Provide regular updates and reports to the project manager, keeping everyone informed.
  • Tech-Savvy: Utilize our digital platform and relevant software applications to streamline operations.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A Passion for Agriculture: Are you enthusiastic about contributing to a more sustainable and secure food system?
  • The Brains & The Drive: You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Biotechnology, or a related field, with a strong analytical mind and a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication Maestro: You excel at connecting with diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration and building trust.
  • Tech wiz?: Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications is a must.
  • Independent & Organized: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks with efficiency.
  • Diversity Champion: You share our commitment to empowering marginalized communities and fostering an inclusive work environment.
  • The Rwandan Advantage: Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English is essential.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with farmers, cooperatives, or within the agricultural sector.
  • Knowledge of local agricultural practices, market dynamics, and regulations.
  • Flexibility to travel to rural areas within Rwanda, particularly near Rusumo and Gatuna borders.
  • Proficiency in Swahili and Luganda is a plus!
