What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Science Charge: Manage Aflakiosk’s laboratories across various locations, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards.
  • Data & Efficiency Expert: Optimize testing processes for accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery of results.
  • Quality Above All: Conduct regular assessments to maintain the integrity of our testing procedures.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Food Science Powerhouse: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related field, with a proven track record in food science or quality assurance.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills are essential for ensuring accurate testing results.
  • Communication Maestro: You excel at collaborating with diverse stakeholders, fostering trust and clear communication.
  • Tech Wiz?: Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software applications is a must.
  • Independent & Organized: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with efficiency.
  • Diversity Champion: You share our commitment to creating an inclusive work environment and empowering marginalized communities.
  • Rwanda’s Languages: Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English is essential.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience conducting food quality tests, particularly for Aflatoxin levels, moisture content, and pests.
  • Experience working with farmers, cooperatives, or within the agricultural sector.
  • Familiarity with Rwandan agricultural practices, market dynamics, and regulations.
  • Flexibility to travel to rural areas within Rwanda, particularly near Rusumo and Gatuna borders.
  • Proficiency in Swahili and Luganda is a plus!
