Urwego Finance CBC, a faith-based organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities in Rwanda, is seeking 19 motivated Sales Officers to join our team across various branches and credit offices (see list below).
In this role, you’ll play a vital role in driving our financial inclusion initiatives. You’ll promote our services, build relationships with clients, and contribute to achieving growth targets.

Here’s what you’ll do:
- Market and promote Urwego Finance’s micro-lending products
- Process and administer loans
- Manage community trust banks
- Monitor loan performance to minimize portfolio risk
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Promote financial literacy and holistic life improvement initiatives
- Champion the use of Urwego Finance’s mobile banking platform (MHose) and other electronic services
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- A personal commitment to Urwego Finance CBC’s mission and vision (faith-based aspects can be toned down depending on company culture)
- A degree or advanced diploma in business-related fields
- Experience collaborating with grassroots communities (advantageous)
- Strong mathematical skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate, engage, and train adults
- Proficiency in community-based conflict resolution
- Organizational and time management skills
- Strong understanding of the Rwandan economy/markets
- Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets)
Bonus points for:
- Knowledge of Urwego Finance products and services
- Experience in the microfinance sector
