Role: Regional Sales Manager (3 Vacancies)

Level: Senior Management / Leadership

Location: Regional (Based in Rwanda)

BPR Bank is seeking three dynamic, results-oriented Regional Sales Managers to serve as the critical nexus between corporate strategy and regional execution. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the aggressive growth of our entire Retail Business portfolio, leading multi-channel sales teams, and ensuring market leadership across your assigned region.

The Mandate (Job Purpose)

The core purpose of this role is to drive and manage the growth of the Retail business at a regional level. This involves implementing robust strategies to deliver superior sales performance across all business lines, optimizing the efficiency of the Direct Sales Representative (DSR) and Branch banking models, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and management of regional priorities.

๐Ÿ”‘ Key Responsibilities (Strategic & Operational)

I. Financial & Strategic Leadership

  • Target Ownership: Meet and exceed regional sales financial objectives by accurately forecasting requirements, preparing and managing annual budgets, and initiating rapid corrective actions based on variance analysis.

  • Strategy Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive regional sales plan that directly contributes to the overall Retail sectorโ€™s annual sales targets.

  • Market Leadership: Drive multiple, aggressive sales campaigns for all bank products (assets and liabilities) with a continuous focus on maintaining and expanding BPRโ€™s market share.

II. Team & Performance Management

  • Coaching & Mentorship: Train, coach, mentor, and retain a high-performing, multi-channel sales team, including DSRs, Bankers, and Sales Managers, ensuring clear responsibilities and accountability across the region.

  • Performance Review: Lead, organize, and conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reviews with the team and Retail Sector Heads, driving motivation and ensuring adherence to planned sales activities.

  • Organizational Efficiency: Ensure the regional team operates efficiently, leveraging the appropriate mix of Direct and Branch sales models to deliver distinctive sales performance.

III. Market & Relationship Development

  • Business Growth: Act as the primary driver for retaining and growing all localized relationship business for both asset and liability portfolios.

  • Agent Channel Management: Drive effective Agent relationships as a key business channel to accelerate retail business growth, particularly in customer acquisition.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and provide continuous feedback on market intelligence, competitor activities, and the changing economic landscape to recommend and implement improvements to BPRโ€™s product proposition.

  • Customer Engagement: Conduct frequent Branch visits, attend high-value customer visits, and participate in regional customer forums to generate new business and solidify strong relationships.

๐ŸŽฏ Candidate Profile (Minimum Requirements)

  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Sales and Marketing, Banking Operations, and Team Management.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field (such as Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics).

  • Advantage: A Master’s Degree or a Professional qualification in Banking is a distinct advantage.

  • Skills: Demonstrable expertise in budgeting, sales forecasting, team leadership, strategic planning, and understanding of both asset and liability products in a banking environment.
