WEBSITE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

INTRODUCTION

Blossom Bridge Initiative CBC is a women-led initiative based in Rwanda, currently operating in Kigali, Northern and Western Provinces. The organization promotes gender equality and environmental stewardship by empowering women and girls in all their diversity to actively participate in decision-making and drive sustainable community development through education, advocacy, and collective action.

Blossom Bridge Initiative CBC seeks to establish and maintain a professional, user-friendly, and informative website. To support this objective, BBI is seeking a qualified company to develop the website.

Objective of the Assignment

Develop a functional, secure website that is accessible and relevant to the target audiences.

Scope of Work

The selected website development company will:

  • Design and develop a professional, responsive website for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Create a user-friendly interface and navigation structure.
  • Develop key sections including:
    • Home
    • About Us
    • Programs and Services
    • News and Updates
    • Resources/Publications
    • Events
    • Opportunities/Announcements
    • Contact Us
  • Incorporate contact forms and inquiry functionality.
  • Ensure website security and data protection.
  • Optimize website performance and loading speed.
  • Provide a Content Management System (CMS) for easy content updates.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting before launch.
  • Train designated staff on website management.
  • Provide post-launch technical support.

Deliverables

  • Fully functional website.
  • All source code and administrative access credentials.
  • User manual and technical documentation.
  • Staff training.
  • Post-launch support and maintenance plan.
  • Documentation of website systems and processes.

Required Qualifications

The company should have:

  • Proven experience in website development.
  • Proficiency in at least one full-stack programming language and framework.
  • Preference for PHP-based technologies suitable for web hosting, security, and maintenance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Experience developing digital platforms for feminist, women-led, gender justice, human rights, or community-based organizations.
  • Understanding of feminist principles and user-centered design.

Duration

3 months

Reporting and Supervision

The selected company will:

  • Report regularly to the designated Project Coordinator.
  • Work closely with designated maintenance personnel to transfer knowledge on the website’s setup, language, and management.
