JOB TITLE: Commercial Diver
LOCATION: Lake Kivu, Rwanda

An international Marine Construction Company is recruiting qualified and experienced Commercial Divers for an offshore construction project on Lake Kivu, Rwanda. Candidates must have proven experience in international Oil & Gas operations and hold a valid IMCA Class II Commercial Diver Certification, with a minimum of 3 years’ professional diving experience.
This role requires highly skilled divers capable of executing subsea tasks safely, efficiently, and according to strict international standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Commercial Diver will be responsible for ensuring that all underwater construction activities meet project specifications and safety requirements:
Diving Operations & Safety
Execute diving tasks in the safest manner, following company and client safety protocols.
Strictly adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulations, and diving best practices.
Ensure all assigned work is completed to the client’s satisfaction and to project quality standards.
Work collaboratively with dive team members to maintain strict safety compliance.
Report all incidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Quality & Compliance
Verify underwater works for accuracy and quality across all disciplines.
Perform subsea installation and marine construction tasks as required.
Support operational teams with accurate reporting and compliance with international standards.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a disciplined, safety-focused professional with offshore experience:
Mandatory Requirements
Proven experience working on international Oil & Gas offshore projects.
Background in marine works, subsea construction, or underwater installation.
IMCA Commercial Diver Class II Certification (Mandatory).
Offshore Safety/Survival Certification.
Valid Diver Medical Examination from a recognized international diving medical institute.
Fluency in English (spoken, written, and reading).
Soft Skills
Strong safety awareness and discipline.
Ability to work under pressure in demanding offshore environments.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
