We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit and Operations Manager to lead our lending and operations functions. The successful candidate will supervise Loan Officers and the Administrative Assistant, approve loan applications, prepare regulatory reports for BNR, and manage key operational activities of the company.

Reports to: Managing Director
Contract Type: Full-time
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Loan Approval: Review and approve loan applications in line with internal credit policies and delegated authority.
Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate, timely reports required by the National Bank of Rwanda.
Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations including loan processing, customer service, and administrative support.
Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with Rwanda’s financial regulations governing banks and non-deposit taking financial institutions.
Strategic Support: Assist the Managing Director in implementing business strategies and improving operational efficiency.
Risk Management: Monitor loan portfolio performance and implement measures to reduce credit and operational risks.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor Loan Officers and the Administrative Assistant to ensure high performance and service quality.
Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong working relationships with clients, regulators, and strategic partners.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on operational and financial performance to senior management.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Managing Director within the organization’s mandate.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in credit management, operations, or financial services, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of Rwandan banking laws and regulations governing non-deposit taking financial institutions.
Skills: Strong leadership, analytical skills, sound decision-making, and excellent communication abilities.
Technology: Proficiency in MS Office and experience with loan or operations management systems.
Languages: Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is required; French is an added advantage.
