Environmental Planner – RGL Security Company Ltd (Kigali)

RGL Security Company Ltd is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Planner to join its team in Kigali. This full-time, on-site position plays a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, supporting sustainable project planning, and maintaining high environmental health and safety (EHS) standards across operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong environmental science expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve sustainable environmental outcomes.

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee and support all activities related to environmental health, safety, and compliance.

• Assist in the development and implementation of environmental plans, policies, and best practices.

• Conduct environmental assessments, site evaluations, and risk identification.

• Prepare detailed environmental reports, documentation, and compliance submissions.

• Communicate findings effectively to internal teams, partners, and key stakeholders.

• Ensure the company complies with national environmental regulations, guidelines, and standards.

• Collaborate with project teams and external parties to promote sustainable environmental solutions.

• Provide guidance and support on EHS matters throughout ongoing and future projects.

Required Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Environmental Science.

• Solid understanding of Environmental Compliance, Environmental Policy, and regulatory frameworks.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or a related field.

• Knowledge of Rwanda’s environmental regulations is an added advantage.

• Experience with site-based environmental projects is preferred.
