Job Opportunity: Factory Project, Facility and Logistics Management Officer

Join Rwanda Nut – Support Factory Operations, Expansion & Logistics

Rwanda Nut is seeking a proactive and highly organized Factory Project, Facility and Logistics Management Officer to support factory expansion, facility maintenance, and logistics operations. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to manage both field and office assignments efficiently.

This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.


Key Responsibilities

1. Factory Expansion Project Management

  • Develop construction schedules, project milestones, and execution plans.

  • Identify, select, and manage contractors, engineers, and construction partners.

  • Coordinate daily with external stakeholders (engineers, suppliers, building companies).

  • Supervise on-site construction progress, safety measures, and quality standards.

  • Manage all project documentation, reporting, and timeline tracking.

2. Factory Facility Management

  • Prepare and regularly update equipment and facility inventories.

  • Oversee maintenance operations and ensure equipment is functioning properly.

  • Select and supervise technicians and contractors to ensure high-quality maintenance execution.

  • Track equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and required upgrades.

  • Collaborate with the factory production team to support smooth operations.

3. Export Handling

  • Prepare and manage all export-related documentation, including:
    Invoice, Packing List, Insurance, Export Permit, Customs Declaration, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Quality Analysis Certificates.

  • Book trucks, containers, vessels, and coordinate shipment logistics.

  • Oversee loading operations and follow up on customs clearance.

4. Import Handling

  • Obtain all required documents before cargo arrival (Invoices, Packing List, HS Code, Import Permit, Import Tax, VAT Exemption, MSDS, etc.).

  • Follow up on import customs procedures to ensure timely clearance.

  • Arrange transport from airport or port to the factory.

  • Communicate frequently with suppliers regarding shipping and payment status.

5. General Management Support

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth project and factory operations.

  • Support procurement, marketing, and operational activities as directed.

  • Perform additional tasks assigned by management.


Working Conditions

  • Regular schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break.

  • Primary workplace: Ruhanga, Rusororo, Gasabo, Kigali.

  • Remote work may be required depending on workload near the airport or city center.

  • Weekly office schedule may change based on management instructions.

  • During factory construction, on-site supervision and flexible hours will be required.

  • Overtime will be compensated in accordance with Rwandan labor law.


Salary & Benefits

  • Gross Salary: 250,000 RWF per month.

  • Airtime Allowance: 8,000 RWF per month.

  • Contract Type: 1-year renewable.

  • Probation Period: 6 months (may be extended up to 6 months depending on performance).

  • Salary review: Possible after successful probation.

  • Statutory tax deductions apply to the gross salary.

  • One-time Moving Allowance: 100,000 RWF upon starting the job.

  • Work-related transport costs: Fully covered upon submission of supporting documents; weekly reimbursements apply.

  • Note: Transport costs for commuting to the office are included in the gross salary and are not refundable.
