Tender for the Supply and Distribution of 700 Chickens
YETEC Project – MIMULI Sector – NYAGATARE District
Background
Under the implementation of the Empowerment of Youth through Vocational Training and Entrepreneurship Coaching towards Job Creation (YETEC) Project, the FESY Organization plans to support vulnerable youth and community beneficiaries through poultry farming activities aimed at improving household income, nutrition, self-employment, and economic resilience.
As part of this initiative, the project intends to procure and distribute seven hundred (700) chickens to selected beneficiaries in MIMULI Sector, NYAGATARE District. The activity seeks to strengthen small-scale poultry production and promote sustainable livelihood opportunities among project participants.
Therefore, the organization invites qualified and experienced poultry suppliers to submit quotations for the supply, transportation, and delivery of the required chickens.
Objective of the Tender
The objective of this tender is to identify a competent and reliable supplier capable of supplying and delivering 700 healthy and vaccinated chickens aged approximately two and a half (2½) months for distribution to project beneficiaries in MIMULI Sector, NYAGATARE District.
Scope of Work
- Supplying seven hundred (700) healthy chickens.
- Ensuring all chickens are disease-free and fully vaccinated.
- Supplying chickens aged approximately two and a half (2½) months.
- Safely transporting and delivering the chickens to MIMULI Sector, NYAGATARE District.
- Delivering all chickens within one (1) week after contract signing or purchase order confirmation.
- Replacing any dead, injured, sick, or non-compliant chickens identified during delivery.
- Coordinating with the YETEC Project team during delivery and distribution activities.
- Providing veterinary and vaccination documentation where applicable.

Supplier Responsibilities
- Guarantee the health and quality of the chickens supplied.
- Ensure proper feeding and care before delivery.
- Ensure humane handling and transportation practices.
- Cover all transportation and delivery costs.
- Deliver the chickens to the agreed project site in MIMULI Sector within the specified timeline.
- Replace any chickens rejected during inspection due to sickness, weakness, injury, or non-compliance.
Eligibility Requirements
- Copy of business registration certificate or trading license.
- Valid tax clearance certificate.
- Company or supplier profile.
- Evidence of previous experience in poultry supply.
- Detailed financial quotation indicating unit price and total cost.
- Proposed delivery schedule/work plan.
- Veterinary certification or vaccination records where applicable.

Deliverables

Delivery Location
The chickens shall be delivered to: MIMULI Sector, NYAGATARE District, Eastern Province, Rwanda.
Payment Terms
Payment shall be processed after successful delivery, inspection, and acceptance of all chickens in accordance with the agreed specifications and upon submission of all supporting documents.
